I believe that:

• Choosing wisely what you say and how you say it gives you great power.
• You have the opportunity to create new possibilities moment to moment.
• People yearn to feel connected and be a source of good in some way.

It is my great desire to share what I have learned so that more people will:

• Get connected and thus be more productive.
• Communicate with clarity so as to be inspiring leaders.
• Develop a personal brand that honors their spirit and helps them contribute to the world. 
• Speak assertively to get what they want while generating respect.
• Bring a lighthearted yet action oriented spirit to their homes and workplace.

It is my experience that there are some basic human needs that can be addressed with programs on communication, networking and innovative thinking.  These basic human needs include the need to feel connected, to belong, to be part of something bigger than oneself, and to be able to contribute and create meaning to one's life.  

I also think it would be wonderful to see people communicating, even in difficult situations, with respect and dignity and bringing a playful, fun, lighthearted spirit into results-oriented environments.

Donna has been a member of the National Speakers Association since 1991 and received her CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) designation in 1998.  She is one of approximately 160 women internationally designated as Certified Speaking Professionals. 

Donna was approached about writing the Professional Networking for Dummies book in 2000 after she thought she had written all the networking books she would ever want to write.  However, she felt honored to be asked, valued the opportunity be a "Dummies" author, and as a result her book was published in 2001.  Just this year, the Professional Networking for Dummies book was translated in Dutch and she is already receiving emails from Dutch readers who are implementing her networking principles.
